AUSTIN (KXAN) - Buzz is building around the lineup for this year's Austin City Limits Music Festival . The first names are appearing around town ahead of next week's official announcement.
In the latest edition of the Austin Chronicle , hidden in the classified ads on the back page are fake ads dropping hints.
Band names in the ads include: Fun, Grouplove, True Believers and Shovels & Rope. Each ad contained a phone number or Twitter hashtag with ACLFest in it.
The ACL Festival's Twitter account also sent out this tweet Thursday:
"We're working on something special for the big announcement next week...take part and tag your favorite ACL shots on @instagram with: #aclfest"
A source at concert promoters C3Presents told KXAN there will be other ads and clues popping up around Austin through Monday for people to find and spread through social media.
The actual lineup announcement is set for just after noon on Tuesday.
The band Muse already confirmed with a Montreal Radio Station they will be one of the headliners for this year. Muse last performed at ACL in 2010.
This year's festival will take place Oct. 4-6 and Oct. 11-13 in Zilker Park. The full lineup will be released at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday. The next chance to buy 3-day passes will be 10 a.m. Tuesday.
