AUSTIN (KXAN) - One in seven American couples are fighting infertility.
That's 7.3-million and only 20% seek treatment.
Sunday the Texas Fertility Center celebrated it's 27th annual Baby Reunion. 700 families attended. The center has celebrated 12,000 babies born since it opened.
Among the happy couples, Brian and Rachael Westerman. Rachael says "You feel like you instantly have a friend when you meet someone whose been down the road you have."
The center boasts a birth rate of 85%. Sunday they celebrated the wonderful new technology and the wonder of life.
Medical Director Kaylen Silverberg says, "There are so many things in medicine that are temporary. We can make heart disease better, diabetes better. Infertility is curable. We take a couple who can't have a family and with treatment they can. The disease is gone."
The Westerman's celebrated the ten month birthday of their daughter Regan Rose Sunday.
Dad Brian Westerman says, "It's amazing to see the doctors and centers help people to make a dream come true.
