AUSTIN (KXAN) - Last summer's drought killed the concert and fireworks show that are a tradition for Austinites. But the Austin Symphony announced Thursday that this year's show is "on."

The orchestra will perform at 8:30 p.m., followed by "mile-high" fireworks at approximately 9:30 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public.
