AUSTIN (KXAN) - Albert 'Leslie' Cochran has been upgraded to good condition andmoved from University Medical Center Brackenridge hospital to arehabilitation facility.
The well-known Austinite is now in Central Texas Rehab, apartner of Seton hospitals and their preferred rehabprovider.
He was admitted to the rehab facility located at Seton Hospitalon 38th Street late Friday afternoon.
Central Texas Rehab provides general physical, occupational, andspeech therapies plus nursinig care. Many of their patientscome in after traumatic injuries.
Leslie fell on October 3 and was rushed to the UniversityMedical Center Brackenridge. EMS officials were called after hefell next to a taxi.
EMS officials said an ambulance was called to the scene after awitness saw Leslie acting oddly on the sidewalk. The call came inaround 12:50 a.m. on Oct. 3. Leslie then fell in front of a taxi.When EMS arrived on the scene, medics say he was alreadyunconscious.
On Wednesday supporters held a vigil for Leslie outside thehospital.
