ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) - Two men who went into a Round Rock jewelry store attempting to rob the business were met with an employee who was not going to let that happen.
According to Round Rock police, the two armed men went into the QT Jewelry Store at 220 Sundance Parkway just after 4 p.m. The suspects demanded items from the employee but the employee pulled out a gun instead and fired shots towards the suspects.
Police said no one was injured but the suspects did run away from the store. It is unclear if the suspects actually left with anything from the store.
Police have secured a perimeter around the La Frontera area but the suspects have not been located. A K9 unit from the Williamson County Sheriff's Office as well a law enforcement helicopter are assisting with the search.
The suspects are described as:
- white or Hispanic
- Late 20s or early 30s
- Both were wearing hoodies
