AUSTIN (KXAN) - Lake Travis is off-and-running in the 2011 high school football playoffs. They beat McCallum 58-7 at Cavalier Stadium Thursday night in the first round of the 4A division-I bracket.
Lake Travis scored touchdowns on their first seven possessions of the first half. Senior Collin Lagasse had four touchdowns in the game, and sophomore Varshawn Nixon added two more.
Lake Travis will play the Smithson Valley-SA McCollum winner in the area round.
Also in the 4A division-I bracket, Cedar Park defeated LBJ 55-26 Thursday night at Nelson Field. The Timberwolves will face the SA Brennan-Hays winner.
