GEORGETOWN, Texas (KXAN) - The City of Georgetown is working towards becoming a greener city with the implementation of single-stream recycling next month.
Residents will be getting their new recycling carts delivered to their home this month with the first single stream recycling collection day starting on Nov. 1. Some customers will move to a new collections day.
For any residents with questions and concerns about the new services, the City is hosting several open houses next week:
- Monday, October 8 from 6 to 8 p.m., Parks and Recreation Admin Building, 1101 N. College Street
- Thursday, October 11 from 9 to 11 a.m., Sun City Ballroom, 2 Texas Drive
- Saturday, October 13 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Parks and Recreation Admin Building, 1101 N. College Street.
