AUSTIN (KXAN) - A body was found in the Devil's Cove area of Lake Travis on Tuesday night.
Emergency responders were called out to the area just before 9 p.m.
Travis County Sheriff's Office has identified the victim as 35-year-old Nathaniel McCoy.
McCoy was reported missing on Monday afternoon, after he jumped off a moving boat in Devil's Cove.
Witnesses stated that after the man was seen jumping in the water, he resurfaced for a few seconds and then went under.
As the other passengers called for the pilot to stop the boat, several people jumped in the water in an effort to find him and others called 911.
Toxicology test results must be completed before an official cause of death is determined, however, the preliminary finding of the Sheriff's Office investigation indicates McCoy drowned.
This is the seventh drowning on Lake Travis this year.
