Beginning Friday, May 3rd, Austin Fashion Week kicks things off with its Showcase Events at various local retail, salon, restaurant, and bar venues.
Something new for 2013 is Austin Fashion Week's decadent evening of food, fashion and avant garde style through its NOIR & ENCORE on Saturday, May 4th. Beginning at 6pm at Brazos Hall, NOIR will feature a formal dinner with a feast prepared by chefs Shawn Cirkiel and Steven Cak of Olive & June, Parkside, and The Backspace. Local and national designers will get a chance to showcase their latest fashions with a runway show. Then at 9pm at the ENCORE After Party, guests will head to the Brazos Hall roof deck to watch Austin's best beauty teams create looks inspired by contemporary French style.
Each night beginning May 8th through May 10th, eight designers will get the opportunity to feature their latest styles at AFW Runways & Marketplace at the historic La Zona Rosa in the heart of Downtown Austin (612 W. 4th Street). All shows begin at 7:15pm with doors opening at 6:30pm

On Saturday, May 11th The Austin Music Hall will once again play host to the Austin Fashion Awards & After Party . Hosted by Sandy McIlree of the JB & Sandy Morning Show, local talent will be inducted into the 2013 Rising Star and Trailblazer categories. After the show, guests can dance the night away AFW Runway at the After Party.
