FAYETTE COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) - A Lockhart truck driver hauling goats on Interstate 10 in Fayette County was jailed after a sheriff deputy and his dog discovered 455 pounds of marijuana hidden beneath a false floor in the trailer.
The marijuana and the goats were seized, the sheriff's office said in a news release Friday.
According to the account, Deputy Randy Thumann stopped Eric Michael Luedke, 25, near Flatonia on a traffic violation. The driver consented to a seach of the vehicles, the news release said.
With the department's dog, Lobos, the marijuana was found.
Luedke was charged with possession 50 to 2,000 pounds of marijuana.
