SAN MARCOS, TEXAS (KXAN) - Two students reported being robbed at gunpoint in the early hours Friday morning near Texas State University.
The armed robberies occurred on campus around 3:25 a.m. in front of The Tower residence hall immediately followed by the second incident at student living apartments Sanctuary Loft.
Police believe the same person committed both robberies, and no arrest has been made.
“The suspect was described as a black male wearing a black baseball hat, a handkerchief covering his face, a gray long-sleeved shirt, and blue jeans. The suspect left on foot,” said Texas State Police.
To alert students of the occurrences, emails were sent out less than an hour after the occurrences with full details following a few hours later.
