TRAVIS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) - Firefighters are busy fighting a brush fire on Hamilton Pool Road along the Travis County and Hays County line.
The call came in just before 6:30 p.m. for a structure fire in the 24000 block of Hamilton Pool Road near Stagecoach Ranch Road.
Officials believe the fire started on the "Alamo" movie set which was shot in 2003 and released in 2004. A Texas Forest Service spokesman says the cause is under investigation but also said there was lightning in the area when the fire began.
At least seven structures were destroyed or severely damaged, but it is unknown at this point which structures burned.
The fire was upgraded to two alarms around 7:15 p.m. and was zero percent contained as of midnight.
The Texas Forest Service said the Task Force is assisting with the fire and more than 200 acres had burned.
Visitors of Reimers Ranch Park were asked to leave but there were no other evacuations of homes in the area.
