The Assistant News Director will directly supervise general assignment reporters and manage daily news content, leading staff in making collaborative editorial decisions that keep our coverage competitive, on brand, and in alignment with our strategies. Responsibilities also include scheduling, training, hiring, and evaluating reporter staff.
Previous experience as News Director or Assistant News Director, with reporting background, preferred. Previous news management experience required, in addition to reporting and/or producing background. Journalism degree required.
