SANDY SPRINGS, Georgia (NBC/WXIA) - A speeding driver near Atlanta swerves to avoid a car and takes down an entire line of traffic lights.
The incident happened in the overnight hours on Sunday at an intersection in Sandy Springs.
Police say the driver was speeding south when he swerved into the sidewalk and hit a pole supporting the traffic lights.
As you can see in the video, the impact caused the lights to come crashing down on the street.
Police are now in the process of trying to identify the driver and a passenger who ran away and left the wrecked car behind.
