AUSTIN (KXAN) - At 82 years old, Granny's trying Pop Rocks for the first time.
It seems like Granny missed the introduction of the phenomenally fizzy treats in the 1970s.
Some 18 years after research chemist William Mitchell first patented the candy, Pop Rocks made its introduction to the public in 1975, according to Wikipedia.
"Eighty-two years old! Ever heard of such a thing?" Granny reacts in disbelief.
In the video, she also cautiously asks, "Is this sour?" before curiously taking a mouthful.
She notes they taste like grape before going in for a second time.
