CHICAGO (CNN/WLS) - Chicagoans be warned - you're being watched, by a giant three-story high eyeball.

A 30-foot-tall eye is now resting in the middle of Pritzker Park and is expected to stay there through October.

The three-dimensional eyeball was made with painted fiberglass and steel by artist Tony Tasset.

The eye is a companion piece to the artist's "Cardinal" artwork, which features 156 banners making the Illinois state bird - a cardinal. Both pieces are on display as part of the an event to display art to the public called the Chicago Loop Alliance's Art Loop 2010.

It's an event the alliance hopes will become an annual thing.
