CNN – A Vermont man got a little too close for comfort with a Moose gone mad. And he got it all on camera.
Brent Olsen didn’t expect to a moose first thing Sunday morning, much less a moose with its hooves on his car.
"I had run out in my shorts from the morning and I started yelling at it, do not jump on my car Mr. Moose."
After chasing the moose off with his car, he decided to grab his camcorder and film it as it walked around his yard.
"A moose with ivy in its horns, I thought it was kind of cute."
But soon the moose was anything but cute.
"It scared the crap out of me."
Olsen ran inside for safety, leaving the camcorder rolling outside, only to have the moose chase him and try to make its way into the house.
As Olsen and his roommate waited nearly an hour for the state game warden to arrive, Olsen says the moose charged the home four more times.
"It was very nerve racking, hoping this thing was going to behave itself until the game wardens gets here. I have never seen a moose act like that."
The warden emphasized that approaching wold animals is never a good idea.
"We recommend people keep a safe distance from any wildlife, no matter what size it is, all wildlife can be dangerous, whether it is big or small."
The game warden ended up having to put the moose down for everyone’s safety.
"Very sad to see a beautiful healthy animals suffer from something like this."
