DALLAS (AP) — A man accused of pointing a green laser beam at a police helicopter flying during an investigation has been arrested by Dallas police.

Police say Kenneth Santodomingo pointed the laser several times at the helicopter as it assisted officers looking for a suspect in a vehicle burglary. After it was hit multiple times, the helicopter's pilots found where the light was coming from and directed officers on the ground to Santodomingo's location.

The 22-year-old Santodomingo is charged with illuminating an aircraft with a laser pointer.

He did not have an attorney listed in online jail records.
