JONESTOWN, Texas (KXAN) - Residents in areas Southwest of Jonestown near Lake Travis are under a boil water notice, according to the Jonestown Water Supply.
Crews are making sure the water is safe after a water main break which was possibly caused by shifting soil during last night's rain.
This is due to a broken water main.
The main has since been repaired, but they don’t have resting results back yet, so they’re not sure if the water is safe to drink.
The main could have broken due to shifting soil from the rain, but there’s no way to know for sure.
Until test results are back, people in The Hollows, Trails End, and Val Verde Beach neighborhoods as well as those on Reed Parks Road, Old Burnet Road, Adrian Way need to boil any water used for drinking, cooking, or ice-making.
Officials at the Jonestown Water Supply will post a notice on their website, Jonestownwsc.org, as soon as the boil water notice is lifted.
