AUSTIN (KXAN) - After about a year in existence, Groupon is now in 30 cities including Austin. The free service offers major discounts on Austin restaurants, shows and other activities with a daily e-mail.

For those who want to try new places, but don't want to pay top dollar, Groupon might be worth the few minutes of signing up. The online service delivers an e-mail to your inbox Monday - Friday, with a different coupon each day. Users have a certain amount of time to purchase the coupon and then can use it depending on the stipulations.

Saturday's Groupon coupon was for Corazon at Castle Hill, where people can purchase a $30 gift certificate for $15. The service allows various businesses to get more exposure to new customers and gives deal hunters a chance to score some bargains.
