WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) - High waters and heavy rains have submerged several area roadways in Williamson and Travis County.
In Cedar Park : Updates at 5 p.m. Wednesday
With continued rain and run-off, it is impossible to determine when the roads will actually open, according to Cedar Park officials. The Cedar Park Police Department will continue to monitor roads.
Williamson County
Williamson County Judge Dan A. Gattis has signed a local disaster declaration due to flooding in the county after more than 23 water rescues from homes and vehicles happened overnight.
Residents are encouraged not to drive unless necessary or to delay starting out on roads Wednesday morning.
The Williamson County Unified Road System reports the following roads are closed as of 11:30 a.m. Wednesday due to high water:
In Georgetown:
There are many reports of flooded roads, debris on roads and damaged roads in Georgetown. The City advises drivers to assess road conditions carefully and, if at all possible, wait for daylight before driving.

The best advice if you encounter standing water, of course, is to "Turn Around, Don't Drown." If you can't judge the depth of water, don't risk it.
