McNeil boys and Pflugerville girls stay hot

AUSTIN (KXAN) - The McNeil boys basketball team ran their win streak to 22 in a row on Tuesday with an 80-65 district win at Westwood.  The Mavs lost their season opener and have not lost since as they moved up to 14th in the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches 5A rankings this week.  McNeil improved to 3-0 in district 16-5A while Westwood fell to 0-3 and 10-9 overall.

On the girls side, Pflugerville, ranked 2nd in 5A,  ran their record to 29-0 with a 65-48 at 9th ranked Georgetown (20-4, 4-1)to take the lead in district 16-5A.  Diana Omozee led the Panthers with a game high 19 points.  These two teams will meet again on February 3rd at Pflugerville and that one will be televised on KBVO-TV.

KBVO begins its Friday game of the week this friday with a 16-5A boys game between Anderson and Akins.
