Jones is the son of former Cowboys linebacker Robert Jones who told KXAN-TV that he is proud of Cayleb and now "the next step is to get out of the field and performing." ones said he looks forward to enjoying the college atmosphere and the tailgating as a fan and a parent. Jones had 229 receptions and 26 touchdowns in his three varsity seasons with the Maroons.
