(KXAN) DALLAS - When Mack Brown chooses a quarterback - if he chooses a quarterback - he wants it to be a final decision. That's why the Texas coach says he's in no rush to declare a starter in the battle between sophomores David Ash and Case McCoy.
The bulk of the questions directed at Brown Tuesday at Big 12 Media Days once again centered around the quarterback competition, which will enter it's second season when practice begins in two weeks.
The Longhorns shared the spotlight on the final day of the conference's annual pre-season media extravaganza with West Virginia, one of the Big 12's new members for 2012. The Mountaineers players and coaches showed up loose and and discussed their excitement for the move to the new conference.
