AUSTIN (KXAN) - The Texas Longhorns 2009 home finale was just as much about football, as it was farewells.  The Longhorns' seniors said goodbye to DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium and then clinched the Big-12 South Division title with a 51-20 win over Kansas.

In doing so, Colt McCoy became the winningest quarterback in NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision history.  He has 43 and counting, with three games to play.

McCoy was at his best, completing 32 of 41 passes for 396 yards and four touchdowns.

Texas scored on their opening drive when McCoy hit Round Rock's James Kirkendoll down the sideline for a 41-yard touchdown. Kirkendoll had two scores.

McCoy also found fellow senior Jordan Shipley for a 2nd-quarter touchdown. Shipley and sophomore receiver Malcolm Williams went over a hundred yards receiving, 108 and 103 respectively.

Sophomore running back Cody Johnson and freshman Tre Newton scored two touchdowns on the ground.  Newton's 19-yarder in the 4th quarter made it 51-20 and allowed the seniors to take their final bow on UT's next possession.

Head coach Mack Brown called timeout with 5:52 remaining in the game and took the seniors off the field to a standing ovation.

Sophomore safety Earl Thomas also set a school record with his seventh interception of the season.

No. 3 Texas is now 11-0 and goes to College Station Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 26) to face in-state rival Texas A&M.  The Longhorns will face Nebraska in the Big-12 Championship Game on Saturday, Dec. 5 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.
