Newport Beach, California - After hearing the news that his suspended receiver was arrested on charges of aggravated robbery and organized criminal activity, Longhorns head coach Mack Brown dismissed receiver Brandon Collins from the team.

Collins was arrested Saturday in Pflugerville after police say he drove the getaway car in an armed robbery in a McDonald's parking lot.

Brown released the following statement from Newport Beach, California:

"We're aware of the situation back in Austin with Brandon Collins. We've talked with Brandon and his family and he has been dismissed from the team."

Collins was already serving a suspension for academic issues, and had not played in any Longhorns game this year. He was allowed to practice with the team.
