COLLEGE STATION (KXAN) - It was a game Texas would like to have back.  The No. 23 Texas A&M men's basketball team held the Longhorns to a season-low in scoring to win 74-58 Saturday at Reed Arena.

It's the sixth consecutive year Texas has lost in College Station.

Adding injury to insult, Longhorns' freshman guard J'Covan Brown fell hard to the court late in the game after colliding with A&M guard B.J. Holmes.  Brown was conscious but laid motionless for several minutes while medical staff attended to him.  He was eventually taken to the locker room on a stretcher with his neck stabilized.  Texas officials said he likely had a stinger in his neck and took Brown to a local hospital for further evaluation.

Holmes was helped off the court with an apparent ankle injury.

Texas' leading scorer and all-time leading rebounder Damion James finished with 12 points and one rebound.

Senior guard Donald Sloan led the Aggies with 19 points and sophomore forward David Loubeau added 15.   Reed Arena had a record crowd of 13,717.

The Texas men (22-7 overall, 8-6 Big-12) return to action Monday, March 1 against Oklahoma at the Erwin Center.  It's the Longhorns' final home game of the season.
