Longhorns lose to Baylor, again

Bears win 4th straight over Texas

KANSAS CITY, MO(KXAN) - In last years Big 12 tournament Texas had a 22 game win streak over Baylor only to lose to the Bears in the semifinals.  Now the win streak is headed in the other direction.  Baylor made it four straight over the Longhorns on Thursday night, 86-67 in the quarterfinals of the Big XII tournament.

Texas cut a 15 point deficit to 8 and with just over 5:00 to go, but a J'Covan Brown missed three point attempt turned into a Dunn three and the lead was back to eleven.

Senior Damion James led the Longhorns with 18 points, 16 of those in first half.  Avery Bradley and Dexter Pittman each scored 14 for the Longhorns.  Baylor was led by Ekpe Udoh who had 25 points while LaceDarius Dunn scored 17 of his 19 in the second half. 

The Longhorns fall to 24-9 and are losers of 9 out of 16 following that 17-0 start. Texas will find out their NCAA tournament draw on Sunday evening.

Baylor will face Kansas State in one semifinal game while Texas A&M takes on top seed Kansas in the other Big XII semifinal game.
