AUSTIN (KXAN) - Police have issued an arrest warrant for Longhorn freshman defensive back, Kenny Vaccaro, after a fight during a basketball game.

He is accused of misdemeanor assault, which allegedly took place during a pick-up basketball game in Gregory Gym. The affidavit claims Vaccaro and his team were throwing basketballs at a UT student after losing a game. The UT student, later identified as Jonathon Fuhrman, threw a basketball back at Vaccaro and hit him in the head.

Allegedly, Vaccaro proceeded to punch Fuhrman in the face, causing his lip to bleed.

In the affidavir, Vaccaro claims that Fuhrman "was always on the court trying to start a fight." Fuhrman said there are witnesses to the fight, but they will not support his statements because they are "scared of football players." Fuhrman did not require EMS, but he wants to file charges against Vaccaro.

Vaccaro played two years at Brownwood High School in Brownwood, Texas before transferring to Early High School his senior year. His uncle played defensive back for the Washington Redskins. He has six solo tackles this season for the Longhorns.
