AUSTIN - Members of the Olympic, Texas, Auburn and swimming community turned out at the University of Texas Friday to remember swim coach Richard Quick. The man who coached all three teams died at the age of 66 from an inoperable brain tumor.

People like Olympian Josh Davis, Texas swim coach Eddie Reese, Auburn athletic director Jay Jacobs, swimmer Summer Sanders, and many more talked about who Quick was, and what he meant to the swimming world.

"Of all the people on a pool deck, this man epitomized swimming and coaching and his faith," his sister, Carolyn "Kitten" Guest said. "And he relayed that to his swimmers every place he went."

In addition to his memorial service, Guest has started a campaign to get Quick nominated for the Texas Sports Hall of Fame.
