AUSTIN (KXAN) - Two Central Texas high school football teams are headed to Cowboys Stadium to play for a UIL state title.
Lake Travis beat Pearland Dawson 45-14 at the Alamodome in the 4A Division-I semifinals to advance to the championship game.
Senior running back Colin Lagasse accounted for four touchdowns in the win.
The Cavaliers are trying to become the first Texas high school football team to win five straight state titles. They'll play Waco Midway in Arlington at 8PM Friday, Dec. 16.
Wimberley beat Coldspring-Oakhurst 21-14 in a rematch of their 2010 3A Division-II semifinal game. Receiver Brennan Blakemore caught the go-ahead touchdown from Brady Lambert in the final minute of the 4th quarter and the Texans got their revenge.
They will face Argyle at Cowboys Stadium prior to the Lake Travis game at 4PM Friday, Dec. 16.
