Weekday games against Iowa St. and Texas Tech

IRVING, Texas (AP) - The Big 12 Conference on Thursday announced its lineup of five weekday football games, including another holiday game at home for the Longhorns.

Texas will once again play on Thanksgiving night, this time matching up with Texas Tech in Austin. The game will either be broadcast on FOX Sports or an ESPN platform.

Prior to their tilt against the Red Raiders, Texas will play at Iowa State on Thurs., Oct. 3.

Other weekday contests in place for the conference include Friday night game in Manhattan, Kan. Kansas State will host North Dakota State for a Labor Day weekend opener on Friday, Aug. 30.

Texas Tech will host its Big 12 opener against TCU on Thursday night, Sept. 12, and Oklahoma travels to Baylor on Nov. 7.

The weekday games fulfill a Big 12 contractual agreement with television partners Fox Sports and ESPN.

Kickoff times and specific networks for each game will be announced later.
