Arlington - The Lake Travis Cavaliers have made Texas High School Football history. With a 22-7 win over Midway, the Cavaliers became the first team to ever win five straight championships.

Not only did the Cavaliers win their fifth title, but they also finished their year a perfect 16-0.

The Cavs beat Pearland Dawson to advance to the State Championship, where they defeated a Midway team who upset many heavyweights on their way to Cowboys Stadium.

This marks the second championship for Lake Travis coach Hank Carter, and the fifth for a team who has had three different head coaches help them to their title runs.
