Giddings Advances to 3A Title Game

AUSTIN(KXAN) - The Giddings Buffaloes will play for the 3A state baseball championship after their 5-1 win over Pleasant Grove out of Texarkana on Thursday afternoon.  Giddings pitcher Trey Masek fired a 2-hit complete game with three strikeouts.  Sophomore Brooks Marlow was 2-4 with a 2 rbi.  Giddings will face the winner of the Andrews-Carthage game which was suspended in the 3rd inning on Thursday night with Carthage leading 2-1.  The game will resume Friday morning at 9:30am and the finals are still scheduled for 4:00 on friday.
