MARBLE FALLS, Texas (KXAN) - Former Texas quarterback and Texas high school coaching great Todd Dodge was named head coach at Athletic Director at Marble Falls High School on Monday.
"Marble Falls offers everything Elizabeth and I were looking for in a community we can call home and be a huge part of it," Dodge said. "It's a one high school district, has outstanding new athletic facilities, is a community that supports its school programs, and it is close to family."
Dodge coached powerhouse Southlake Carroll to a record of 98-11 from 2000-2006 and won four state titles in his last five years where the Dragons went 79-1 including a 48 game win streak.
Dodge made the jump to head coach at North Texas where he struggled to a 6-37 record. Dodge was quarterbacks coach at Pittsburgh last season before head coach Todd Graham left to become head coach at Arizona State.
Dodge played quarterback at Texas from 1982-85 where he threw for 2,791 yards and 18 touchdowns in his career.
