Championship Tuesday in tennis and golf

AUSTIN (KXAN) - Lake Travis High School had finalists in four of the five state tennis matches. 

• Brittany Brewster won the girls singles title with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Kelly Zhu of Pearland Dawson.
• Fellow Cavalier Austin Mayo lost his singles final to Jordan Hart of McKinney North, 5-7, 7-6, 6-1.
• In doubles, Courtney Schulte and Ryan Brown won the girls title in straight sets over Highland Park
• The Cavs boys team of Oliver Seifert and Sam Loudon beat Highland Park in straight sets as well.

In 5A mixed doubles, Westlake High School's Casey Sutton and Ryan Meek won the title over San Antonio Churchill in straight sets.

In 1A competition, Mason won three titles, Matt Banner took the boys title over Kennan Dishman from Knippa 6-4, 6-1, while it was a doubles sweep for Traci Jordan and Margaret Lemke on the girls side with Andy Duarte and Andrew Willis took the boys title.

At the State Golf Tournament, Lake Travis defending its 4A title with a 13 -shot victory over Highland Park at Austin's Jimmy Clay Golf Course.  Klein Klotz and Andrew Liu both shot 3-under 67s to lead the way on Tuesday. Cedar Ridge High School finished in eightth place.  

The Lake Travis girls finished in third place, eight shots behind Montgomery's "A" team. Lindsey McCurdy from Hays High School finished two under par, and won 4A girls medalist honors by one shot.

In the 5A tournament at Onion Creek Country Club in Austin, the Westlake girls finished in third place,  23 shots behind champion Allen. 

Individually, Westlake's Sierra Sims won medalist honors by one shot. She finished three under par for the two rounds. The Westlake boys finished in second place, eight shots behind The Woodlands.
