AUSTIN, Texas (KXAN) -- Douglas Ward pleaded guilty Friday and was sentenced for four felony charges all relating to sexually assaulting two children.
He was found guilty of aggravated sexual assault of a child, indecency with a child and two counts of retaliation.
Two charges of sexual performance by a child were dropped as par of the plea bargain.
Ward was a North Austin hotel manager at the Budget Lodge on Interstate 35 and Rundberg Lane.
In June, a twelve-year-old and a ten-year-old told police that Ward molested the ten-year-old and had them take naked pictures of one another. Police said that Ward threatened to kill both the boys if they told and paid them to keep quiet.
The mother of one child and the grandmother of the other child tearly fully spoke to Ward after his sentencing, telling him what he did to hurt their families. Ward will serve his sentences concurrently.
