AUSTIN (AP) -- Heavy rain Monday night is blamed for leaving parts of the burned Texas governor's mansion a bit soggy.
Work continues to restore the historic building that was torched on June 8, though there are no arrests in the case investigators claim is arson.
A temporary roof is expected on the mansion by October.
Edward Johnson with the Texas Facilities Commission said there is plastic on the damaged roof, but some leaks are still happening.
Johnson said Tuesday that the shoring of the fire-damaged second floor is nearly complete. He said plans call for a crane to be moved into place in the next couple of weeks to begin removing the fire-collapsed roof.
