PFLUGERVILE, Texas (KXAN) - A postal inspector found a surprise in one package that landed a Pflugerville man in jail.

Pflugerville police were tipped off about a package scheduled for delivery to an address on Vapor Drive near Grand Avenue Parkway, after inspectors received a federal search warrant to open the package. It had been shipped from an address in the small border town of La Feria, near Harlingen.

When inspectors opened the box they found 3.2 lbs of Marijuana inside.

Police then made a controlled delivery to the home around 10:30a.m. They served a narcotics search warrant at the residence where they found the package, opened with a brick of marijuana inside a restroom in the home.

The package was addressed to addressed Erika Nicole Reyna, but police arrested 50-year-old Ernest Villarreal for the drugs.  They said Villareal confessed to mailing the package to himself , and admitted he had been doing so for years. According to the arrest affidavit, Villarreal said no one in the home had knowledge of the package containing Marijuana except for himself.

Villarreal is being held in the Travis County Jail under a $6,000.00 dollar bond.
