AUSTIN (AP/KXAN) - State Rep. Kino Flores is free on his own recognizance after he was booked Monday into the Travis County Jail .

The lower Rio Grande Valley lawmaker is charged with not disclosing sources of income, real estate transactions and gifts. Those gifts include a racehorse given to his son by a lobbyist.

A Travis County grand jury Friday returned six indictments against the Palmview, Texas Democrat. They include 16 counts of tampering with a government record and three of perjury.

Flores denies any wrongdoing. His attorney, Roy Minton, said Flores has complied with state election law.
