CAMERON, Texas (KXAN) - A Cameron, Texas woman is in an Austin-area hospital after police say she was punched in the chest, rupturing her aorta.
Cameron Police say Jesse Garza, 31, of Cameron is wanted in connection with the Jan. 11th incident.
According to police Garza allegedly punched the female bar manager in the chest, causing serious injury to her aortic valve.
Police say they were attempting to serve a felony warrant for aggravated assault with serious bodily injury for the incident when Garza fled.
The bar manager underwent heart surgery and remains in an Austin-area hospital.
