WEBSTER, Texas (AP) - An apartment complex fire in Webster has left two children dead and a woman and another child injured.
Webster city spokeswoman Crystal Roan said four other people escaped unharmed early Thursday.
Roan told The Associated Press that the eight people who lived at the apartment are believed to be related. She had no immediate details on their relationship. She said the cause of the fire is sought.
Roan said two children were dead at the scene. Road says a woman, who has non-life threatening injuries, and another child were transported to a hospital. Roan had no details on the condition of the injured youngster.
Roan said another child, two men and another woman escaped the fire that destroyed the apartment. Several other units were damaged.
Webster is 20 miles southeast of Houston.
