AUSTIN (KXAN) - Texas is known for many things but when it comes to sweetness there’s a different kind of sugar perusing the relationship-waters and earning a degree in the process.

Four universities in the state now hold the dubious title for being the fastest growing sugar baby schools in 2012.

The website SeegArrangement.com says they saw an increase of 58-percent with the University of Texas Austin, Texas State University, University of North Texas, and University of Texas Arlington earning top notches for females seeking a sugar daddy to fund their lifestyle and education.

Since 2012, 110-percent more females attending the University of Texas Austin, 615-percent more attending the University of Texas Arlington, 125-percent more female students attending University of North Texas, 69 -percent more female students attending the University of Houston, and 168-percent more female students attending Texas State have signed up on SeekingArrangement.com.

“The population of college sugar babies in Texas has steadily increased every year, with Texas State University leading all major universities in the past year,” Wade said. “While some may argue that these women are just using men for their own personal gain, I believe that they are proactive in pursuing a higher education.”

The website says they have over 2-million members with 40% of the users in 2011 being college students.

According to the Pew Research Center, one out of five households are in debt due to student loans. Though the average monthly cost of living expenses, tuition, and book fees varies for each institution, Bloomberg BusinessWeek estimated the average cost of each student loan at approximately $25,250.
