Remembering JFK's assassination

AUSTIN (KXAN) - It was November 22, 1963, 46 years ago, that President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in a motorcade through Dallas.

Shortly afterward, Vice President Lyndon Johnson was sworn into office as the 36th President.

Texas Governor John Connally was seriously wounded in the attack.

Within hours, police arrested Lee Harvey Oswald for the murder. Two days later he was shot dead by nightclub owner Jack Ruby.
