AUSTIN (KXAN) - Today local Texas candidates and advocates tried to woo over some undecided voters at a town hall event.

More than 20 officials running for different local positions showed up at the Manchaca Public Library.  Voters could hear from all parties and about Austin's propositions at the non-partisan event. Even the Austin ISD school board was discussed.

According to Doreen Sims, an event organizer, "If you are undecided about the president that's fine but realize there is a group of people who took the time and took time out of their lives to be a voice."

State Senator Kirk W atson  and U.S. Senate candidate Ted Cruz were expected to show up but we're told they were unable to make it.

The town hall was put together by a local public relations company, Connect PR Agency.
