HOUSTON (AP) - Investigators say a suburban Houston couple and their 6-year-old daughter have died in a house fire.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office says the fire was reported around midnight Wednesday in Aldine.
Capt. James Bolton of the Harris County Fire Marshal's Office says witnesses reported Javier Martinez was burned while trying to rescue his fiancée, Liliana Perales, and their daughter Allesandra Martinez.
Bolton says the 25-year-old mother and daughter were found dead near a back door of the house. The 25-year-old father was taken in critical condition to a hospital, where Bolton says he died Thursday afternoon.
The cause of the blaze has not been determined.
