COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KXAN) - After evacuations and emergency notifications earlier in the day, Texas A&M officials announced at 2:50 p.m. that the morning's bomb threat was a hoax.

Evans Library on the Texas A&M University campus was initially evacuated at 11:25 a.m. after a bomb threat.

Monday is the normal day the university conducts a drill for its alert system. However, the alert system was activated due to the actual threat.

Evans Library, Evans Library Annex, Cushing Library, and the Student Computing Center were also evacuated as precautionary measures, according to TAMU.

Law enforcement officials soon arrived, and bomb-sniffing dogs were called to the buildings at 1 p.m.

At 2:50 p.m., TAMU's emergency website stated the incident was found to be a hoax and an "all clear" issued.
