MURCHISON, Texas (CNN) - Animal rights activists have been up in arms ever since a killer whale killed a trainer at SeaWorld.

The activists liken it to a cry for help - saying the animals should not be held in captivity. SeaWorld said its animals are well cared for.

One sanctuary in Texas takes care of animals who are retired from circuses, zoos and parks.
