FRAMINGHAM, Mass. (AP) - A man has been arrested in Texas on charges he stabbed his 19-year-old wife to death in her Framingham apartment.

The Middlesex District Attorney's office said 25-year-old Kyle Alleyne was taken into custody Sunday on a probation violation in Laredo, Texas, and later charged with first-degree murder. Authorities said Alleyne will be arraigned after he is returned to Massachusetts.

Heather Alleyne's body was found dead last Monday. Investigators say an autopsy revealed several stab wounds, including to the neck and torso, and that she was apparently dead for several days.

District Attorney Gerald Leone called the case one of domestic violence and said there were obvious signs of a struggle in the apartment.

Heather Alleyne was the mother of two children, one just a couple of weeks old.
