CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) - Corpus Christi Police have issued warrants for six workers at a state facility for the mentally and developmentally disabled over "fight club" allegations.

The employees allegedly organized fights where residents of the Corpus Christi State School would brawl with each other for the staff's entertainment.

The issue came to light this week when Corpus Christi police announced recovery of a cell phone with videos of the fights. All six workers from Corpus Christi are charged with indecency to a disabled person.

Meanwhile, the head of the Department of Aging and Disability Services today told legislators in Austin that security and surveillance are being increased at state schools.

Addie Horn said the department is buying security cameras, adding security guards for the first time and studying more measures. Horn was scolded by lawmakers for not acting sooner to stop the abuse.
